Although you’ll be making less honor per banquet with only four banquet good types, the fact that the banqueting cards you play will be effecting all your villages will more than make up for it in the long run. This is in opposition to researching all eight banqueting good types and then having to diversify your village types to satisfy the requirements to build those last four banquet buildings. ![]() If going for a banquet strategy, it’s advisable only to research the first four banqueting good types to completion and then use all highland villages with banqueting productivity cards in play. Wood, Stone, and Iron all can be cheaply increased with cards, as opposed to most weapon types (especially catapults) which are the most valuable resource commodity during the early game and cost a hefty sum to increase their production with cards. Unless your build type focuses specifically on banqueting you can safely ignore the main banqueting branch and all sub branches until much later in the game. Those being, Siege Mechanics and Tools, the latter of which reduces the resource cost of all village buildings by forth percent. Although almost half of the tree can be ignored, there are a few crucial researches here that should be completed regardless of how many cards you play. The Industry tab of the research tree focuses on increasing productivity in the areas of base resource goods (such as stone and wood), banqueting goods, and weapons. ![]()
